Commonly Asked Design Questions
If you have more questions, please email Michelle at info@duetco.com. We’d love to add them to the list!
1 - Where do I start?

Most people will start the process of getting a website designed by doing lots of research on their own. It is best to have 2-3 web design forms and a list of all your requirements with the purpose of your website defined.
Your participation in the process of the creation of your website, the budget that you have desired for creating the website and whether you will be needing copy writing services and so on.
Please submit inquiry form if you are ready.2 - What will a web site cost?

The final cost of the website depends on many factors. It is difficult to give an estimate without knowing your detailed requirements of your project.
The cost of a website varies because there are so many elements involved such as strategic planning, design of the website, graphic designs, database development, multimedia, SEO, and web maintenance.
Our sites start at $1,700 to $5,500 and can go up from there depending on things like how many pages your site needs or if you will be using a Content Management System like Joomla or WordPress. We will be able to give you a fixed price once we understand your needs after a phone conversation. Once we receive the full details of your requirements, we can give an estimate of the project costs. Please feel free to contact us for free quotation.3 - How long will it take for you to finish my project?

It is dependent on my factors. There is a lot to be done and there are so many ways of doing it. It may take as short as a day or as long as two months to finish a project, depending on your needs, the size of your website, the complexity of your site design and my priorities at the given time. We will be able to give you a rough idea of the time involved once all the other details have been sorted out. Even though unforeseen delays due to vacation, priority shifts, delay in receiving text or images from the client and changes in scope are part of the process, every effort will be made to see that your work does not suffer unduly because of them.
4 - I have an existing website but I am not satisfied with it?

Absolutely! Almost every business has a website now, but unfortunately most of them are not satisfied with their websites.
Things have really changed in the last few years and everyone now wants a professional contemporary website that brings in traffic. When you contact us for a redesign, we will have a look at your old website, see what we can salvage from the old website and what we can do to give your website a new professional design.5 - Do I need to send a deposit for the work?
6 - What is your preferred mode of payment?
7 - How long does it usually take to build a website?

The entire process takes 5 to 7 weeks for 5 to 10 pages, but can actually take less if you are well-prepared. Also, be prepared to give us your time within those 5-7 weeks so you are available to review designs, make changes or suggest new ideas that are needed for your business as needed within a reasonable amount of time.
We will also need to have your logo in an electronic format (.eps is preferred but not required), images ready for the web and content written and ready to send to the designer. (If you are in need of a content writer, please let us know.) We like to work with our clients as a team to get the best product out there.
This will really help the process move along quickly.
8 - Will I be involved and have a say in the design itself?

Of course you will, it is your website. We start each project by having our clients give us a complete list of all the details of what they desire along with sample sites of what they are looking for. We suggest 4 sample sites. This gives us a better direction and keep the client involved every step of the process. The more the customer's input is, the better the project will be and the clearer our direction to meet those needs.
The key to a professional relationship lies in the fact that you trust us completely. We always do our best to give our clients what they want and are looking for.
9 - Do you have images we can use?
10 - Do you provide hosting?

We provide hosting through one of the most successful hosting companies called LunarPages. Our company has worked with them for over 6 years! We also provide email addresses using your domain and two ways you can access your email through Outlook, Mac Mail or a web-based login.
Please be wary of cheap hosing companies. Hosting is the critical part in a business and when a hosting company goes down, so do your profits.11 - Can I use my own web hosting?
12 - Do you own the site when it’s done?
13 - Can I get a copy of the site when its completed?

This is one question people NEVER ask and they should! You should get 2 copies of your website from a web designer. Keep one near your computer or on a local network. The other copy put in a safety deposit box or in a fire proof safe, not at your business site. It is critical to protect your website and business.
14 - Do you integrate all of my social media channels?
15 - Will working from a distance impact your work?

When you view our portfolio you can see almost all our clients are live far away from us.
In fact, we communicate often with our clients, that we never realize that we are sepearted by thousands of miles. We keep our clients abreast of our progress and keep them involved in the development of the website from the start to the finish. You can keep in contact with us over phone, email or via Skype.
We accept MasterCard and Visa.
